The Journey
Back in 2015, the founding couple started their long journey together in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Eventually, tying the knot in 2017 on the beaches of Florida. Soon in the next year, they would start their life anew when Erika would encourage Mack to follow his passion for cooking, by attending a small culinary school in the town of Texarkana, Texas where her family grew up. Chef Mack graduated in late 2019 planting his family's roots in Texas, not knowing the trail he was about to blaze. In late 2020, his former head instructor Chef Sheila Lynn gave him the opportunity of a lifetime to come back & teach the trade he loved so much.
In 2021 their son Eli Ray was born. Deciding to live closer for their son to grow up with both sets of grandparents, they returned in 2022 to start life anew once more in Chef Mack's hometown of Perkins, Oklahoma.
With his culinary experience in-tow, Chef Mack had no plan for what he was supposed to do now in his small town. Many people in trying to help, would ask, "why don't you cater, start a food truck, or teach again?" ending the conversations with the hardest question to ask a Chef, "what is your favorite thing to cook?" His wife knowing that tiresome question would answer for him & say "He's a flavor Chef." It donned on them that, why don't they put that into practice?
Countless days went by with food experiments. After a year of hard work & prayer in God's word, they finally set out in combining two very important aspects in their life, hence Good Grub with Grace was born in 2023.
To this present day, they strive to combine their talents & break through boundaries of imagination & wonder that is, "faith & food."
